THE ACADEMIC TEAM STRONGLY PROMOTES A ROBUST LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THROUGH THE USE OF DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION.

Social skills and academic proficiency are the foundation for creating a purposeful and fun learning environment. Within the scope of humanities, a worldly view of the social aspects is promoted. Coping mechanisms and practical application are practiced to continually challenge our class members.

Academically, a plethora of subjects are explored: Mathematics, Money Skills, English (writing, reading, and phonics), History, Geography, Science, Current Events, Cooking, Activities of Daily Living, Health, Personal Hygiene, and Physical Education.

The class primarily consists of higher functioning students with moderate learning deficits stemming from medical, speech/language, hearing, and/or cognitive processing deficits. Our diverse curriculum allows class members to flourish and expand their skills to become more confident and productive members of society.
